About 2008 Honda Pilot The popular eight-passenger Honda Pilot is packed with convenience features and functional utility. The 2008 Pilot lineup debuts two new models. The 2008 Honda Pilot VP replaces the LX adding: rear privacy glass; machined alloy wheels, XM Satellite Radio; audio system upgrade with six-disc CD changer, roof rails; steering-wheel mounted audio controls; body-colored door mirrors, door handles and rear spoiler. The 2008 Honda Pilot Special Edition (SE) -- a supplement to the EX model -- features the following: a DVD rear entertainment system; power moonroof; XM Satellite Radio; 115-volt power outlet; and ambient console lighting. The Honda Pilot continues to offer both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive versions. The two-wheel-drive Pilot features a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management. Both the VTEC and i-VTEC engines produce 244 horsepower and 240 lb.-ft. of torque. As part of Honda's "Safety for Everyone" initiative, all trim levels of the Pilot include three-row Side Curtain Airbags with a rollover sensor featured as standard, complimenting the vehicle's existing driver's and front passenger's airbags, front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System and Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control.
