About 2008 Lexus RX 400h The 2008 Lexus RX 350 is a front engine, full-time all-wheel drive crossover utility vehicle and is also available in front-wheel drive. The 2008 model year exterior offers a clean overall look with no cladding and a new front grille design and addition of chrome door handles. Also new, the availability of Black Bird's Eye Maple interior trim and a Vehicle Stability Control cut-off switch. Pronounced wheel wells exhibit a rugged stance. Power comes from a 24-valve 3.5-liter aluminum V-6 with dual VVTi and sequential multiport fuel injection, delivering 270 horsepower and 251 lb.-ft. of torque. The V-6 engine mates to a five-speed automatic electronically controlled transmission with Snow Mode. A multi-mode sequential automatic transmission is available. Lexus reports 0-60 mph acceleration is in the mid 7-second range with an EPA estimated fuel consumption of 17 mpg city/22 highway (AWD) and 18/23 (FWD). The suspension is MacPherson strut and coil springs up front and rear dual-link MacPherson strut with coil springs aft. Adjustable height air suspension is available on the 2008 RX 350.
