About This 2020 Hyundai Elantra

The 2020 Hyundai Elantra is a sensible, small sedan that scores big when it comes to overall value and safety. but won't get any pulses racing when it comes to driving excitement or exterior styling. That said, some versions of the Elantra are more engaging and interesting than others. We are especially intrigued by the Elantra GT, a handy and handsome four-door hatchback that is a more practical alternative to the Elantra sedan. The GT is also a bit sharper to drive and is available in N Line trim, which, along with the Elantra Sport sedan, gets a more powerful engine and an upgraded suspension. The current-generation Elantra debuted for 2017, but there were significant design changes last year. For 2020, Hyundai mostly focused on the powertrain. All Elantra sedans with naturally aspirated engines now use a continuously variable transmission. The Elantra GT gets a traditional six-speed automatic, but all other turbocharged engines, including the Elantra Sport, are paired with dual-clutch units.Every Elantra except the GT gets standard dual-zone automatic climate control, lane-keeping assist and automatic emergency braking. There are six trim levels for the sedan and two for the hatchback. Among these, Hyundai mixes in four different engines and a few different transmissions. The entry-level SE, SEL, Value Edition, and Limited trim level all come standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that delivers 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The SE is rated for 35 mpg combined, whereas the rest of the trims earn a 34-mpg combined rating. A turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder that generates 128 hp and 156 lb-ft of torque is standard on the fuel-miser Eco trim level, which nets 36 mpg combined. The Elantra GT comes standard with a 2.0-liter inline-four that produces 161 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque and returns 27 mpg combined. And finally, the Elantra Sport and Elantra GT N Line come fitted with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that delivers 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. The Sport achieves 29 mpg combined.--------In Power Motors of South Florida we offer a complete transparency deal.
