Vehicle Overview After the success of AMG's first entirely in-house high-performance GT design, the SLS, the racing subdivision of Mercedes-Benz soon set about designing a new GT coupe and roadster. First debuted at the Paris Motor Show in October 2014, the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT benefited from input from Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton.
