2023 Mercedes EQ EQE Review

The Mercedes-EQ lineup of electric vehicles currently consists of two SUVs and a sedan but continues to grow at a rapid pace. Next up is this EQE; a smaller, less expensive sibling to the EQS.
This reminds me a lot like the EQS in that it’s remarkably quick, comfort-tuned and brimming with tech. But from a driving perspective the most notable characteristic is the 10-degree rear axle steering – the most aggressive such 4-wheel steering I’ve ever tested. It takes a little getting used to because it pivots the car so sharply, especially in low-speed situations like backing into a parking spot. Otherwise, I love the cabin and it’s extraordinary ambient lighting and cool sound effects but the design of the car itself? It’s not looking like an expensive Benz.
