Some mid-cycle refreshes are minor and barely noticeable. This isn’t one of them. The 2019 Cherokee isn’t scheduled for a complete redesign for several more years but Jeep is putting extra effort into keeping the current model contemporary. New styling, an all-new powerhouse engine option, a more efficient 4-wheel drive system, improved cargo volume…this is above and beyond the typical revised grille and new wheel designs. Jeep takes the Cherokee’s look in a more premium direction including LED exterior lighting, but don’t worry; it’s still a rugged SUV with Trail-Rated capabilities depending upon the configuration, led by the off-road specific Trailhawk model.
