About 2021 GMC Terrain The 2021 Terrain small SUV is equipped with GMC Pro Safety on all trim levels, an expanded standard safety package. This set of standard safety is complemented by an optional Driver Alert Package that includes Adaptive Cruise Control Camera, Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Park Assist and Safety Alert Seat. Denali models add Front Park Assist in addition to the Rear Park Assist. Denali models of the premium compact SUV feature a Premium Package that combines the Advanced Safety Package and Comfort Package to include Adaptive Cruise Control Camera, ventilated driver and front passenger seats and heated rear seats, among other premium features. The 2021 Terrain Denali is also differentiated from other models by a premium suspension that includes internal valves to deliver a more refined ride, in addition to unique spring isolators that already contribute to reduced road noise compared to other Terrains. The popular Terrain Black Edition, which adds 19-inch glass-black wheels and darkened details, is renamed the Terrain Elevation Edition. It continues to be offered with Summit White, Graphite Gray Metallic or Ebony Twilight Metallic paint. The Terrain Elevation Editions are distinguished by darkened exterior treatments, adding more choices to lineups that also include color-matched, chromed and unique Denali appearances. The design advances GMC's legacy of precision craftsmanship and answers customers' calls for greater vehicle personalization. Terrain is offered in a choice of a 170-horsepower four-cylinder or a 252-hp four-cylinder. The diesel engine has been discontinued for 2021. The engines are matched to efficiency-enhancing nine-speed automatic transmissions. Stop/start technology is featured on all systems.
